We are pleased to introduce the newest member of our team: Adi Ornai, Process Documentary Production and Post Intern for fall 2015. Currently a third year undergraduate student, Adi Ornai is pursuing a degree in Screen Based Arts at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel. This fall, Adi joins the UpCYCLEd Stories project at Mount Pleasant Community Centre in Vancouver through her exchange program at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design where she is undertaking a semester in Film, Video and Integrated Media. Adi’s main interests include: documentary film, experimental cinema, song writing, and social projects addressing humanitarian issues. For the past three years she has been collaborating with a local artist from Addis Abeba, Ethiopia on a project where she initiated and lead art and music workshops for approximately 60 children affected by HIV in orphanages in the city. She has also worked as Volunteer Coordinator with a non-governmental organization based in Israel for three years that works with orphanages for children affected by HIV in Ethiopia and Uganda. We are delighted to have Adi’s passion and experience on board for this project!
